The Cedarville University School of Engineering and Computer Science seeks exceptional Mechanical Engineering professionals to help us teach undergraduate students in our Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program. We desire to train outstanding Mechanical Engineers who integrate the highest level of technical skills with an active Christian faith to transform lives across the world. We invite applications for Mechanical Engineering adjunct faculty positions that will begin in August 2026. The School of Engineering and Computer Science seeks highly qualified candidates from across the spectrum of professional Mechanical Engineering practice. Adjuncts may be utilized on a temporary, part-time basis to provide instruction during the academic year as instructional needs arise.
The School of Engineering and Computer Science offers an ABET-accredited BSME degree program, in addition to ABET-accredited BSCE, BSCpE, and BSEE degrees, and BS degrees in Computer Science and Cyber Operations. The School currently serves over 700 students across its six primary disciplines.
Position Description:
This position is primarily focused on teaching assignments within an undergraduate engineering program. Teaching appointments may include traditional lecture style delivery, as well as instruction in the integrated laboratory elements of our courses. Remote delivery of teaching is a possibility depending on course specifics.
These temporary adjunct positions are subject to Cedarville University policies, verification of credentials, and other information required by law, including the successful completion of a background check. These positions are primarily located in Cedarville, Ohio. Opportunities may be available for remote work in certain U.S. states with the exclusion of CA, HI, and D.C.
Position Requirements:
  • M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, plus at least 5 years of professional engineering experience in a relevant area of Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate subject material to students and relate with students and colleagues.
  • Commitment to biblical integration in and out of the classroom.
  • Qualified applicant must be a born-again Christian with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
  • Qualified applicant must agree with and be willing to abide by Cedarville University's Doctrinal Statement, Community Covenant, and General Work Place Standards.
