Job description

Rolling Mill Operator 2nd shift 
In this role, you will set up and operate precision rolling mills to reduce a variety of heavy-duty metal stock to uniform/precise thickness specifications according to work order requirements. You will work as part of a team, collaborating with other operators and skilled workers.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle.
  • Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure the equipment is working properly and adjust as needed.
  • Feed raw material and inspect parts with precision and measuring tools such as various hand tools, finish slitter machines, micrometers, calculators, and related tools.
  • Must follow established company and department rules and regulations and maintain quality standards.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to priority changes and short notice activity.
  • Support a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents and near misses.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have prior experience as a rolling mill operator or a similar position in a metal fabrication facility 
  • Excellent mechanical and logical thinking, able to do simple maintenance and repairs.
  • Attention to detail, ability to follow written instructions.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must have basic math and comprehension skills 

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
