Job description

Warehouse Associate

Location: Palmetto, FL Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm Pay: $17.00/hour (increases to $18.00–$19.00/hour upon permanent hire) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM Training: First 3 weeks on AM shift Additional: Overtime as needed; occasional weekends

  • Reliable Monday–Friday availability
  • Most Needed Shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM


Job Overview

We are seeking Warehouse Associates to support a high-volume distribution center serving construction jobsites nationwide. This role ensures materials are received, organized, packed, and shipped accurately to keep projects on schedule and deliveries on time.



Key Responsibilities

  • Unload inbound trucks and inspect incoming materials
  • Verify shipments against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies
  • Label boxes, organize pallets, and store materials in assigned locations
  • Move materials between production lines, staging areas, and storage
  • Pick, kit, and stage materials by project for outbound shipments
  • Inspect, wrap, weigh, and load pallets for delivery
  • Support inventory control through cycle counts and material transfers
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, stackers, scissor lifts)
    • Training and certification provided
  • Use handheld scanners and tablets to complete tasks and document materials
  • Follow on-screen instructions and troubleshoot basic issues
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment


Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Push carts up to 60 lbs
  • Stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, push, and pull throughout the shift
  • Use carts, dollies, and hand trucks
  • Climb stairs when required
  • Work at heights up to 40 ft or on a mezzanine (where applicable)
  • Perform duties in a physically active environment


Qualifications

  • Minimum age: 18
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Prior warehouse experience preferred (not required)
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Basic computer skills (email, warehouse systems)
  • Ability to read and interpret part numbers
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
  • Ability to follow safety, quality, and productivity standards
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Turret truck experience preferred


Dress Code / PPE

  • Long pants (jeans or khakis; clothing may get dirty)
  • T-shirts or polos (no offensive graphics)
  • Closed-toe shoes required
  • Safety vest provided
