Job Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY:
As a clinical teacher, this position will provide undergraduate students on site instruction during clinical rotations. Helps students learn how to provide care for patients during on site clinical rotations. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
70% - Essential - Clinical Instruction
Delivers clinical care to patients while serving as a clinical preceptor to undergraduate students. Demonstrates and assist students with unit tasks in practice and demonstrate clinical skills. Provides leadership to enhance patient experience and patient safety.
15% - Essential - Administrative:
Provides feedback to faculty on students performance during time in the clinical setting. Evaluates students Clinical performance and sends recommendations on improvement.
15% - Essential - Collaboration:
Utilizes nursing practice to assign care for patients and families. Reviews written requirements with students, providers, and patients families.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelors degree.
Work Exp: At least 2 years experience in the specified clinical setting specialty applying for e.g., Med/Surg, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Critical Care, Community, Obstetrics, Leadership and Management.
Must have current RN licensure.
