Description
Position Summary:
Maintenance facilitates the completion of the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of the building, facility, equipment and machinery including HVAC and the building lighting systems as well as the grounds keeping, security and overall facility appearance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs routine Facility maintenance (Interior and Exterior); Performs basic electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facilities maintenance activities.
Contacts and schedules vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies outside of scope of routine maintenance.
Performs preventative maintenance (PM) activities per schedule; maintains documentation of PM activity/results.
Performs troubleshooting and repair of Production and Engineering equipment.
Assists in maintaining calibration of testing/inspection equipment.
Assists in cleaning and maintaining facility; maintains a clean, organized work environment.
Supports process and equipment continuous improvement activities.
Works in a safe manner and addresses unsafe conditions.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Perform all duties assigned by Supervisor
Requirements
This is a temporary position for six to eight months.
Knowledge & Skills:
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office required.
Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
Good analytical skills and problem solving.
Very detail-oriented, accurate and organized.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Able to work independently (with limited guidance) and as part of a team.
Confidentiality and time management.
Operate electric table saws, drill presses, sanders, electric meters, and other various machines in the tool shop; basic machining, welding, and/or fabrication skills are a plus.
Operate electric 40-foot-high self-operated open bucket lift for working in high areas inside and outside.
Operate forklift and material handling equipment.
Drive the company truck (manual transmission) to run errands for materials, tools and supplies.
Build various wood crates for shipping and packing of products.
Use basic hand tools and battery-operated tools.
Maintain and repair small tools and equipment.
Qualifications:
Education: High school or trade school diploma.
Experience: minimum two (2) years' related experience.
Certifications preferred:
Electrician
Plumbing
