Job Title: Storage Site Security Monitor

Reports to: Facilities and Safety Manager

Location: Denver

Compensation: Temporary Position for at least 6 months, $24.51 per hour, generous benefits including 401k matching, 100% employer-paid premiums for health, dental, vision; paid vacation, holiday pay, $40 cell phone stipend.


The Storage Site Security Monitor is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of CVC infrastructure and property during overnight hours. This position provides overnight monitoring of the CVC storage site, buildings, and equipment to deter unauthorized access, identify security concerns, and respond appropriately to emergencies.


Expected schedule, specific tasks related to primary focus areas, as well as other responsibilities for this position are listed below:


Schedule/ Hours

40 hrs/week on site, 10-hr shifts, 8pm to 6am

Additional time will be spent in required organizational meetings


Key Area #1 - Property Monitoring

  • Conduct regular patrols of the property, buildings, fencing, gates, and perimeter throughout the shift.
  • Monitor the property for unauthorized individuals, suspicious activity, vandalism, theft, or trespassing.
  • Ensure all buildings, gates and doors remain secure.
  • Monitor security cameras and investigate unusual activity as appropriate.
  • Contact law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary.

Key Area #2 - Emergency Response

  • Respond appropriately to issues of trespassing or vandalism
  • Notify on-call leadership of significant incidents.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, fire personnel, or emergency services when needed.
  • Preserve the safety and security of the property until assistance arrives.

Key Area #3 - Documentation and Reporting

  • Complete overnight security logs.
  • Document incidents, suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and emergency responses.
  • Communicate important overnight updates to the Supervisor through pass down reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of building checks and patrols.

Other Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional presence while working independently overnight.
  • Keep the office and designated work areas clean and organized.
  • Use organizational equipment responsibly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

The position requires the ability to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Duties include prolonged periods of walking, standing, climbing stairs, working outdoors in various weather conditions, lifting up to 40 pounds, and responding quickly during emergencies. Visual and auditory ability to monitor the property and identify safety concerns is essential.
