Summary
Learning Platform Systems Analyst is a temporary 12-18 month individual contributor role providing advanced technical expertise and system-level oversight for the IEEE Learning Network (ILN, IEEE's learning management system). Serves as a subject matter expert for complex troubleshooting, platform optimization, integrations, and process improvement. This role does not involve instructional design or content creation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead advanced troubleshooting and serve as escalation point for complex issues
  • Oversee platform integrations, enhancements, customizations, and maintenance
  • Coordinate requirements gathering, stakeholder communication, testing, and post-release validation
  • Analyze usage data to identify trends, insights, and improvement opportunities
  • Lead UAT efforts, including script creation and validation coordination
  • Design and document system configurations to support business needs
  • Lead onboarding and implementation for new ILN partners
  • Maintain catalog records aligned with MARC standards
  • Research industry trends and recommend improvements to support and operations
  • Provide backup support to the Administrator
  • Contribute to additional Educational Activities projects as assigned

Qualifications
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Required experience with LMS administration, educational technology, or technical support
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Strong understanding of platform workflows, integrations, and system interactions
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and data validation abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strict attention to detail and excellent problem solver
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Experience with system integrations, SCORM standards, MARC records/KBART files, HTML/CSS, and/or JIRA is a plus
  • Experience translating business needs into technical requirements
  • Skilled in UAT script writing and execution a plus
