Join Our Team at WTH - Dyersburg Hospital as an Emergency Medicine Provider - A Role Designed for You!

Sound Physicians is a physician-founded and led, patient-first medical group grounded in one belief: better support for clinicians leads to better care for patients. Our emergency medicine teams are empowered to lead care locally with the backing of a strong national network committed to clinical excellence, intentional leadership development, and collaborative partnership. Here, you'll practice alongside care teams that work seamlessly across Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and Critical Care-creating smoother transitions, stronger accountability, and better outcomes for the communities we serve.

If you're looking for a place where your clinical judgment is valued, your growth is supported, and your work truly makes a difference, we'd love to talk.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit team of 9 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers at WTH - Dyersburg Hospital, with support from a clinical performance nurse.
  • Our cohesive team has built strong, enduring relationships, offering a stable and collaborative work environment.
  • Accountable, on-site leadership: a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance, supported by Sound's leadership-development tools.
  • Stable, well-staffed teams: cohesive teams aligned on our patient-first culture of excellence, which means less reliance on premium temp labor and more predictable shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/eligible in emergency or family medicine with emergency medicine experience.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of complex cases, including critical interventions such as intubations, central lines, and trauma care.
  • J1 visa candidates invited to apply, access to Sound's in-house visa specialists as well as our licensing and credentialing experts.

Scheduling:

  • 24 hours of physician coverage complemented by 2-12 hour APP shifts/day (9a-9p and 2p-2a).
  • Access to a broad range of specialized services, including cardiology, pulmonology, general surgery, urology, GI pediatrics, OB, radiology, anesthesiology, nephrology, and endocrinology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a 16-bed emergency department, seeing approximately 75 patients per day.
  • Care for patients in critical conditions, from motor vehicle collisions to violent crimes, with a focus on chest tube placements, intubations, and trauma care.

Living and Working in Dyersburg:

  • Dyersburg offers a relaxed lifestyle with affordable housing, strong schools, and a family-friendly atmosphere, making it an ideal place to live and work.
  • As a team committed to the community, we encourage our members to contribute to local health and wellness inside and outside the hospital.

Compensation:

  • Competitive salary with benefits that reflect your skills and experience.
