Join our team at the Health & Fitness Center. Our dedicated team of exercise specialists, certified instructors and trainers support the needs of our community. We have a wide variety of positions within our 54,000 square foot facility. This position works closely with all areas within the facility to serve the needs of our members. Teamwork, critical thinking and compassionate service are important as we deliver high quality programs and services for the members, patients and guests. 

How you'll contribute  

A Group Fitness Instructor who excels in this role: 

  • Teaches fundamental techniques and components using methods which include discussion, demonstration, repetitive practice, and integration of component skills into overall activity goals. 

  • Adheres to ACSM guidelines for safe exercise participation. 

  • Monitors the exercise floor creating a pleasant and safe area for members.

What we're looking for Knowledge of health and fitness and at least one year of work experience in wellness, health promotion, health promotion, health club, university and/or community recreation, or hospital fitness preferred. Additional requirements include: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred. 

  • Current certification in Personal Training, required (EX: ACSM, ACE, AFAA, NCSA or others as approved. 

  • American Red Cross CPR/AED, American Heart Association BLS, or American Heart Association CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire.
