A leading New Jersey utility company is seeking a Senior Procurement Analyst to support procurement activities for its Capital Projects portfolio. This role will focus on sourcing and managing Civil, Electrical, and Architecture/Engineering (A/E) construction services, including planned and emergent work.


What You'll Do:

  • Manage procurement activities for construction services supporting capital projects
  • Identify and qualify suppliers and manage sourcing activities
  • Prepare and issue RFPs, evaluate bids, and negotiate with suppliers
  • Develop and administer materials and services contracts
  • Integrate scope and commercial requirements into contracts and purchase orders
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders
  • Manage contract renewals and re-source recurring contractual commitments
  • Support emergent procurement needs for operations
  • Serve as a procurement subject matter expert across business units as needed
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts


What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 5+ years of procurement or supply chain management experience
  • Experience analyzing supplier proposals and negotiating purchases of materials/services
  • Experience incorporating scope and commercial requirements into contracts and POs
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated history of client/stakeholder satisfaction


Preferred:

  • Experience with SAP, Ariba, CLM, or other ERP/procurement systems
  • Construction, utilities, capital projects, or engineering procurement experience
