Job Description:
The Part-Time Bookkeeper is responsible for supporting daily financial and accounting operations by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with reporting functions. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and prior bookkeeping experience. Experience within a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be dependable, able to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently, and maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Process invoices, payments, deposits, and other financial transactions accurately and timely.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and review financial records for discrepancies or errors.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures while maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
• Communicate with vendors, internal departments, and management regarding financial questions or discrepancies.
• Support additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Previous bookkeeping experience required.
• Bookkeeping experience within a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, and accounting software systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
