Position Description
The Accounting and Finance Department is searching for adjunct instructors in finance. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in finance, primarily in a traditional classroom (in-person) format.
Areas of instruction may include corporate finance, investments, financial planning and CFP-related topics, and FinTech, including digital assets, cryptocurrency and blockchain applications.
Candidates who can integrate current industry practices, emerging financial technologies, and applied financial analysis into classroom instruction are especially encouraged to apply.
Prior college teaching, corporate training, or professional instructional experience is strongly preferred, with evidence of effective teaching and student engagement. Please note: fully online instructors need not apply.
Qualifications Sought:
Requirements include a Masters in finance, MBA , or a closely related discipline.Candidates must have current professional experience, substantial in terms of duration and level of responsibility, which is linked to the fields of accounting or finance. Professional certification (e.g., CFP, CFA, FRM, CAIA) and daytime availability are advantageous.

The Department of Accounting and Finance is one of three academic departments within the Rohrer College of Business, which is AACSB accredited. The department offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Finance, Certificates of Graduate Studies in Accounting and Finance, MBA specializations in Accounting and Finance, and a Master of Science in Finance.

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis.
