Job description

Overview

The Mountain Bike Rental & Repair Technician is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while maintaining a safe, reliable, and high-quality fleet of mountain bikes and gravel bikes.

Come work and play at Seattle’s home mountain, The Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is lots to do all year long.


Responsibilities

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Guest Service & Rental Operations
  • Welcome guests and determine their equipment needs.
  • Fit mountain bikes, gravel bikes, helmets, and protective equipment for proper comfort and safety.
  • Process rental transactions, returns, payments, liability waivers, and rental agreements using rental and inventory systems.
  • Fleet Maintenance & Repairs
  • Perform daily inspections, preventative maintenance, and professional repairs on the rental fleet.
  • Complete comprehensive safety inspections before every rental.
  • Diagnose and repair brakes, drivetrains, wheels, suspension, tires, and other bicycle components.
  • Shop Operations
  • Assist teammates during peak business periods to reduce guest wait times.
  • Work efficiently while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Strong customer service skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Mechanical aptitude with bicycle repair experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.

Wage and Benefit Info:

The wage range for this positions is:  from $20.82 to $24.00/hr

This is a non-benefited role.

All individuals may contribute to the 401(k).  An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff).

All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
