Job description

Job Overview Sample for Reference:
Fabricate and assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies according to engineering drawings, schematics, and requestor specifications. Measure, cut, strip, crimp, solder, and terminate wires using hand tools and specialized equipment. Routed and bundled wires, installed connectors, labels, heat shrink tubing, and protective sleeving to ensure proper fit and function. Performed continuity, insulation resistance, and quality inspections to verify compliance with industry standards and production requirements. Maintained a clean and organized work area while following safety procedures and meeting production schedules. Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to troubleshoot wiring issues and identify solutions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Fabricating prototype automotive type wire harnesses assemblies, including soldering and crimping.
Vehicle installation of wire harnesses and overlays.
Work from schematics, diagrams, drawings, written and verbal descriptions.
Wire harness inspection.
Learn proper and efficient operation of wire harness fabrication equipment.
Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance of fabrication equipment.
General labor around facility & other tasks as assigned.
2nd shift position.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Vehicle level electrical system trouble shooting and diagnostics.
Able to read automotive vehicle electrical schematics.
Familiar with oscilloscopes and digital voltage ohmmeters.
Collecting data using a Canalyzer and/or similar devices.
Career experience in the heavy truck/automotive industry.
Basic MS Office knowledge.
Maybe a 1st or 2nd shift position.
