Job description

Maintenance Apprentice
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Maintenance Apprentice for a company based in Marietta, Georgia. In this role, you will work alongside experienced maintenance professionals while learning both facility and machine maintenance skills in a hands-on environment.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic mechanical or electrical aptitude who wants to build a long-term career in maintenance. The company is looking for someone eager to learn, grow, and develop into a full maintenance technician role through on-the-job training.
 
Pay Rate 
$20.00 per hour
 
Schedule and Hours 
Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 5:00 pm 
 
Maintenance Apprentice Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with basic facility maintenance tasks including changing light bulbs, minor plumbing repairs, and general upkeep
• Complete machine inspection checklists and assist with preventative maintenance tasks
• Support experienced maintenance staff with machine and facility repairs
• Learn to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems through hands-on training
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Assist with additional maintenance duties as training progresses
 
Maintenance Apprentice Qualifications and Requirements 
• Basic mechanical or electrical aptitude required
• Strong desire to build a long-term career in maintenance
• Previous hands-on experience with repairs, maintenance, automotive work, shop class, or similar experience is a plus
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
• Comfortable driving between Marietta, Morrow, and Dacula after hire using a company vehicle 
• Drug screening and background checks are required.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted (in-office lifting assessment required) and stand for extended periods.
