Job description

The Funeral Director and Embalmer plays a critical role in providing compassionate support to families during times of loss. This position involves managing funeral arrangements, embalming and preparing the deceased with dignity, and ensuring all processes comply with legal and ethical standards. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and commitment to honoring the wishes of the deceased and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and conduct funeral services and ceremonies with professionalism and empathy
  • Embalm and prepare deceased individuals for viewing and burial
  • Assist families with paperwork, permits, and documentation required for funerals
  • Manage scheduling and logistics for funeral events and transportation of the deceased
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations related to funeral services
  • Provide counseling and support to grieving families
  • Maintain funeral home facilities and equipment in proper working condition

Preferred Qualifications
