Staff Accountant โ€“ OEM (Temp Role)
Location: Greenwood, IN
Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday | 8:00 AM โ€“ 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20โ€“$25/hour
Job Type: Temporary Assignment

First Call is recruiting for a Staff Accountant โ€“ OEM (Temp) to support key accounting functions within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on general ledger support, reconciliations, month-end close activities, and transactional accounting across AP, AR, and fixed assets.

The ideal candidate will have solid accounting fundamentals, strong Excel skills, and the ability to support accurate and timely financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding items
  • Support fixed asset accounting, including data entry, tracking, and depreciation entries
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations
  • Prepare and analyze freight accruals, PPV, and received-not-invoiced accounts
  • Post journal entries as needed
  • Support accounts payable during high-volume periods (invoice processing)
  • Assist accounts receivable with manual invoicing when required
  • Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, HR, and Operations to resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Assist with audit support and documentation requests
  • Participate in physical inventory counts (including occasional weekend support)
  • Support process improvements and system efficiency initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
Requirements
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of general ledger and core accounting principles
  • Experience with reconciliations and month-end close preferred
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
