Duties and Responsibilities
  1. To teach basic language skill courses in the target language. Maintain office hours and work with other language programs in integrating teaching efforts. Languages include Arabic, Bengali, Cambodian, Chamorro, Filipino, Hindi, Ilokano, Indonesian, Maori, Samoan, Sanskrit, Tahitian, Thai, Tongan, Urdu and Vietnamese.

Minimum Qualifications
  1. B.A. with emphasis on Education/Bilingual Education, Linguistics, ESL, Second Language/Foreign Language Teaching, or closely related fields; high level oral and written fluency in target language and English.

Desirable Qualifications
  1. Demonstrated evidence of successful teaching; university level teaching experience of the target language; experience in target language curriculum development; evidence of prior or pending research and/or publications on target language.
