Appeals Representative I

Location: Fort Worth, TX 76102 - Onsite! (opportunity to work remote once hired on perm)

Compensation & Schedule

• $17.00 per hour

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

• Temp to Hire, W2

ROLE IMPACT

As an Appeals Representative II, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring provider appeals are resolved accurately and in compliance with all applicable policies and healthcare regulations. This role directly supports provider satisfaction and impacts revenue cycle integrity through clear communication, detailed analysis, and timely resolution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review, analyze, and respond to provider appeals in accordance with client policy, CMS guidelines, and industry standards

• Interpret provider appeal requests and apply policy and regulatory standards to resolve cases

• Draft professional and compliant written communications

• Utilize tools and reference materials to support appeal resolution

• Ensure appeals are completed within required timelines

• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support provider relations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience (e.g., denials, collections, appeals)

• 1+ years of direct Appeals Representative experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 1+ years in a high-volume, customer-facing role

CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Healthcare claims and appeals platforms

• Document management systems

• CRM and task tracking software

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Knowledge of inpatient and outpatient hospital billing

• Familiarity with medical terminology, contract interpretation, and coding standards

• Strong attention to detail, time management, and issue resolution skills
