The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for an Air Vehicle Depot Engineer (NH-0861-03) to work for the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at Hill AFB, UT.

Qualifications/Requirements:
As a F-35 LST Air Vehicle Depot Engineer, you will serve as the engineering authority, providing depot disposition approval for structural repairs and non-conforming material on the F-35 airframe. Act as the primary government technical liaison between the Ogden Depot and a range of stakeholders, including industry contractors, fleet maintainers, and the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO). Ensure flight safety and airworthiness by performing technical assessments of non-standard maintenance issues and develop innovative depot-level repair strategies to enhance readiness and reduce costs. Serve as the engineering approval authority for aircraft modification validations/verifications. Prepare and present briefings and reports on F-35 technical matters to leadership within the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO), U.S. military services, and international partner organizations.
Duties
You will oversee the development and management of products and services required to sustain operation and ensure airworthiness.
You will manage the requirements for qualified personnel, processes, equipment and ensure requirements are translated into sound engineering products
You will investigate and facilitate systems engineering objectives between various contractor and government organizations.
You will prepare correspondence, technical reports and instructions for submittal to leadership.
You will determine the best approach to resolve complex technical engineering problems while working closely with the technical domain Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
