About the AI Bio Hub
The AI Bio Hub is a venture creation and innovation platform focused on the convergence of artificial intelligence, biology, therapeutics, and healthcare.
Created by C10 Labs in partnership with LabCentral, the AI Bio Hub brings together exceptional founders, scientists, technologists, investors, mentors, and industry partners to build the next generation of AI-enabled life science companies.
Through mentorship, technical support, venture-building resources, programming, and access to the Cambridge innovation ecosystem, the AI Bio Hub helps founders translate scientific and technical innovation into high-impact companies.
Position Summary
The AI Bio Hub is seeking an entrepreneurial and technically capable Fellow to support founders building companies across artificial intelligence, biotechnology, therapeutics, drug discovery, diagnostics, computational biology, synthetic biology, and healthcare.
The Fellow will work directly with participating companies and the AI Bio Hub team to evaluate technical opportunities, conduct scientific and market research, develop prototypes, assess data and model strategies, support venture creation, and accelerate company development.
This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience at the intersection of artificial intelligence, scientific innovation, entrepreneurship, and venture capital.
Responsibilities
Founder and Company Support
• Work directly with founders to identify high-value AI applications and define technical priorities.
• Support companies with scientific research, market analysis, product strategy, customer discovery, and competitive assessment.
• Help founders translate complex scientific and technical concepts into clear product, partnership, and investment narratives.
• Assist with company presentations, investor materials, diligence preparation, and fundraising research.
• Track company goals, milestones, risks, and program progress.
AI and Technical Development
• Support the development, testing, and evaluation of AI models, prototypes, data products, and research tools.
• Help teams assess data availability, data quality, model performance, technical feasibility, validation requirements, and deployment constraints.
• Conduct analyses using biological, chemical, clinical, scientific, or healthcare datasets when appropriate.
• Evaluate relevant AI tools, technical infrastructure, research platforms, and emerging technologies.
• Promote responsible AI practices, including privacy, security, transparency, bias assessment, reproducibility, and appropriate human oversight.
Venture Creation and Research
• Research emerging areas at the intersection of AI, biology, therapeutics, and healthcare.
• Evaluate new venture concepts, technologies, markets, and company formation opportunities.
• Identify promising scientific founders, researchers, technologies, and potential industry partners.
• Support technical and commercial diligence on prospective companies.
• Develop market maps, investment theses, and ecosystem research.

• Contribute to reports and materials communicating the AI Bio Hub's activities and impact.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in computer science, data science, engineering, computational biology, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, biology, chemistry, public health, or a related field.
• Experience with machine learning, generative AI, data analysis, computational research, or software development.
• Proficiency in Python and relevant AI, data science, or scientific computing tools.
• Strong analytical, research, writing, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated interest in biotechnology, healthcare, scientific innovation, entrepreneurship, and venture creation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with scientific, technical, business, and investment audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
• High ownership, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and sound judgment.
Preferred Experience
• Experience with computational biology, drug discovery, biological data, clinical data, medical imaging, healthcare data, synthetic biology, or digital health.
• Familiarity with large language models, predictive modeling, multimodal AI, knowledge graphs, scientific machine learning, or laboratory automation.
• Understanding of responsible AI, data privacy, scientific validation, or healthcare regulation.
• Previous experience with a startup, research laboratory, biotechnology company, venture studio, accelerator, or investment firm.
• Familiarity with the Cambridge and Boston biotechnology, healthcare, academic, and startup ecosystem.
