Job description

Become a Key Player as an Accountant II – Payroll / General Ledger

You will support the Finance Team by executing payroll and general ledger processes that ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. You will work closely with business partners and cross-functional teams to support month-end close, audits, and forecasting. This is a temporary assignment with potential to become permanent; work model: Onsite, 1st shift.

Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
  • Prepare, record, verify, analyze, and report payroll transactions, including collecting and reconciling timecard information and submitting payroll files
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, cashbook, and bank statement reconciliations
  • Process monthly intercompany transactions and reconcile related accounts
  • Accrue contract labor hours and maintain/allocate project hours
  • Support monthly forecast updates, reserve reviews, and partner reporting initiatives
  • Assist with month-end close activities and meet tight short close deadlines (as short as 4 days)
  • Participate in audits (financial, SOX) and perform internal audit tasks to identify control improvements
  • Research and resolve outstanding liabilities across procurement, R&D engineering, and capital
  • Produce balance sheet, profit and loss, and ad-hoc financial analysis as assigned
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with payroll and general ledger processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP)
  • Experience with an ERP system
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize in changing situations
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet tight deadlines
Here's What Else Might Help You Out
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Familiarity with BlackLine or other reconciliation/close tools
  • Audit and SOX experience
Pay Range

$32.40 - $40.50/hour
