Requirements of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

a-     Minimum 1 year of experience as a CNA preferred

a-     Current CNA certification

a-     CPR license

a-     Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision

a-     Empathy for the needs of the client

a-     Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills

a-     Ensures confidentiality and security of the client’s medical information

Responsibilities of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

a-     Provide quality nursing care to residents.

a-     Implement specific procedures and programs.

a-     Coordinate work within the department, as well as with other departments.

a-     Report pertinent information to the immediate supervisor.

a-     Respond to inquiries or requests for information.

a-     Assist the immediate supervisor with tasks to support department operations.
