Job Summary

SteamSOS is seeking experienced, licensed Stationary Engineers and High-Pressure Boiler Operators to operate and oversee a temporary high-pressure rental boiler system supporting a tire manufacturing facility in Shelby County, Tennessee.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced boiler and power plant operators looking for $60–$70 per hour, flexible scheduling, and steady industrial plant work.

We are open to both full-time and part-time operators, including experienced professionals looking to pick up additional shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and monitor high-pressure temporary/rental boiler systems.
  • Perform routine shift rounds and equipment inspections.
  • Conduct boiler water quality testing and chemical feed checks.
  • Monitor boiler water levels, steam pressure, safety controls, and alarms.
  • Maintain accurate operating logs and shift documentation.
  • Respond appropriately to boiler alarms and abnormal operating conditions.
  • Maintain reliable steam supply to support continuous tire manufacturing operations.
  • Follow all applicable plant safety procedures and local regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Valid Shelby County Stationary Engineer License (1st, 2nd, or 3rd Class) or applicable High-Pressure Boiler Operator License — REQUIRED.
  • Experience operating high-pressure steam boilers and associated auxiliary equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of boiler safety controls, low-water cutoffs, burner systems, and emergency shutdown procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and safely during assigned shifts.
  • Manufacturing, industrial plant, central utility plant, or rental boiler experience is preferred but not required.

Compensation

$60.00–$70.00 per hour, depending on licensing, experience, and qualifications.
