YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The Project Manager II will lead a systems team on various large-scale integrated systems construction projects. This role oversees all low-voltage and integrated specialty systems, ensuring the successful planning, design, coordination, and execution of highly technical installations in complex design-and-build environments.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in systems integration, low-voltage infrastructure, and technology standards, with proven ability to manage multiple trades, vendors, and client expectations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

May train and provide direction to the Project Assistant and/or the Project Manager I in maintaining project-required tracking devices.

Plan and organize a project under the direction of a Senior PM or Division Manager.

Participates in the supervision and training of Project Assistants and/or Project Manager I.

Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the guidelines of corporate policies.

Negotiate the terms and supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project.

Liaison with primary client and A/E to facilitate construction activities

Under the direction of Project Manager III and/or Sr. Project Manager, support construction activities with the onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure the project is being built on schedule and within budget.

Anticipate, prevent, and resolve potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines.

Represent the company in project meetings.

Direct the preparation of all change quotations for presentation to the prime client. Negotiate all change quotations to a successful conclusion.

Prepare monthly costing reports under the supervision of a Senior PM or Division Manager.

Manage the financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company's interest, and maintain a good relationship with the client.

May assist with the development of new business opportunities.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

Required / Preferred Education

Bachelor's degree in:

o Construction Management

o Electrical Engineering

o Structural Engineering

o Related technical discipline (preferred)

Minimum 5+ years of experience managing complex systems construction projects.

Estimating Experience

Experience using Accubid estimating software.

Technical Skills & Systems Experience

Experience with one or more of the following:

Audio Visual (AV) systems

Access Control Systems (ACS)

Network LAN/WAN infrastructure

Structured cabling

Fiber optics

Data Center Operations (Day 2 support/expansion)

Electrical systems

Pathways and infrastructure

Certifications (Preferred)

PMP (Project Management Professional)

BICSI RTPM (Registered Telecommunications Project Manager)

BICSI RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

Effective performance management

Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures

Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle

Prioritize and manage multiple asks, changing priorities as necessary

Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

Up to 25%

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Due to the variety of work to be performed, the Project Manager II may be working at a job site or in the office.

General work environment - This position is performed primarily on active construction sites. Activity includes sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
