Cal State Communications, Inc., a leader in the telecommunications industry, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of multiple telecommunications projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a deep understanding of telecommunications technologies and industry standards. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, vendors, and clients, to coordinate resources and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle. Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans and timelines to guide project execution from conception through completion.
  • Coordinate and manage project teams, including internal staff and external contractors/vendors.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure all projects comply with telecommunications industry standards and company policies.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure projects remain within financial constraints.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project impact.

Qualifications

  • Prefers a two (2) year College Degree, or five (5) years hands-on experience in the industry.
  • Requires two (2) years’ experience in a position directly overseeing projects for a 2 million dollar or larger company.
  • Preferring the above with previous management experience and a proven track record in reducing job costs.
  • Prefers previous experience dealing with quality controls issues.
  • Must have the skills and knowledge to keep all lines of communication between all of the departments of Cal State Communications.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with employees of varying education levels.
  • The sense of sight, speech (English), and hearing are required. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The physical requirements are stressful although part of the time will be spent sitting. Walking, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers and the ability to lift fifty (50) pounds is required.
  • Must be a natural leader who can inspire employees to superior performance.
  • Must be a highly organized person who can monitor numerous projects at once and who can prioritize the workload of reporting employees.
  • Prefers previous experience with OSHA and safety regulations and procedures.
