Job description

Position Summary

The CFS Inbound Warehouse Leader supports daily inbound cargo handling within SF Express’ bonded Customs Freight Station (CFS).
This position focuses on import and inbound shipments only, assisting the inbound supervisor to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient cargo unloading, sorting, and storage in compliance with CBP and company policies.
The role is hands-on and primarily warehouse-floor based.


Key Responsibilities

1. Inbound Cargo Handling

· Assist in receiving and verifying inbound shipments and documentation.

· Coordinate ULD breakdown, scanning, and pallet sorting by destination or inspection status.

· Move, tag, and store cargo according to warehouse layout and space assignments.

· Communicate with OA and CA Team to confirm cargo status and clearance.

· Report any cargo damage, shortage, or discrepancy immediately.


2. Floor Team Support

· Lead small work groups during inbound unloading or re-stacking.

· Provide guidance to new or temporary workers on proper handling methods.

· Maintain steady workflow and help meet inbound processing timelines.

· Assist with shift hand-offs and update next-shift staff on pending work.


3. Equipment Operation & Safety

· Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors (with valid certification).

· Follow all SF Express and OSHA safety standards, including required PPE.

· Keep work areas clean and free from obstruction; support regular safety checks.

· Immediately report unsafe conditions or equipment issues to supervisor.


4. Documentation & Reporting

· Ensure inbound cargo is scanned into the system accurately.

· Maintain daily checklists, tally sheets, and inbound logs as assigned.

· Support quality checks for inbound counts and label verification.


5.Other Duties as Assigned.


Qualifications

· Education: High school diploma or equivalent.


· Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in warehouse or inbound freight work; experience in bonded CFS or air-cargo preferred.


· Skills & Knowledge:

o Basic understanding of import receiving and warehouse operations.

o Ability to read and match airway bills, manifests, and cargo labels.

o Forklift driving certificate preferred (training available).

o Basic computer or scanner use (WMS / handheld device).


· Physical Requirements:

o Able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk for long periods, and work in warehouse environment.

o Able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, or holidays.


Work Environment

· Active warehouse environment with forklifts and moving cargo.

· Exposure to moderate noise, indoor/outdoor temperature changes, and warehouse lighting.
