Our client in the Boise, Idaho location is currently hiring for a Mechanical Project Manager to support a large semiconductor construction project. This is an onsite opportunity working directly with the project team on a high-visibility build.
Pay – $105,000 – $158,125 annually (Depending on years of experience, tenure, software proficiency, and relevant project experience)
Location – Boise, ID (Onsite)
Schedule – Monday through Friday, salaried position with an expectation of approximately 50 hours per week. Additional Saturday hours are paid at time and a half.
Responsibilities
• Lead and own project estimates, scoping, proposals, safety, and execution while meeting profitability goals
• Manage personnel, financials, schedules, and project risks and opportunities
• Oversee mechanical construction activities with a strong focus on plumbing scope
• Communicate with engineering teams to ensure complete designs and clearly defined scope within budget
• Collaborate with fabrication and manufacturing teams and attend coordination meetings
• Mentor and support Project Engineers and Project Coordinators
• Estimate and negotiate change orders
• Track, forecast, and report labor hours and material costs
• Buy out major equipment and subcontracts and track deliveries
• Maintain working knowledge of project contracts and specifications
• Plan, organize, and schedule project work with field leadership
• Prepare fabrication shop work packages
• Ensure full compliance with safety programs and contractual requirements
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Communicate proactively and professionally with all project stakeholders
Qualification Requirements
• 1+ year of experience as a Mechanical Project Manager or 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer
• Strong understanding of RFI processes, submittals, and change orders
• High technical competency in plumbing scope
• Ability to read and interpret drawings for complex plumbing systems
• In-depth understanding of mechanical installation sequencing
• Proven experience managing and coaching project engineers
• Experience with estimation, construction management, and bidding
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar platforms, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office tools
Disqualifiers
• Limited experience with mechanical or plumbing construction scopes
• No experience with estimation or change order management
• Inability to work onsite in Boise, Idaho
