Job description

Description:

A Construction & Installation worker at Atlas, your duties and responsibilities will include following a client-approved scope of work for basic tenant improvement to an existing site to include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Demolition: Removing existing walls, flooring, ceilings, fixtures, and other structures within the designated space.
  • Site preparation: Cleaning up debris, sweeping floors, and preparing the work area for new construction.
  • Material handling: Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials like lumber, drywall, and other building supplies to the worksite.
  • Scaffolding and bracing: Assisting in the setup and dismantling of scaffolding and temporary support structures.
  • General labor tasks: Assisting with framing, drywall, paint, wall paper applications and pre-fabricated ornamental carpentry finishes per client requested specifications. Installing shelving and retail fixtures, signage and graphics as well as performing other manual labor as directed.
  • Clean-up: Removing debris and waste from the work area throughout the construction process.
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 80lbs. Comfortable with climbing and working on a ladder.
  • Experience and knowledge using a variety of both hand and power tools such as drills, impact driver, saws, etc.
  • Experience with a pallet jack, scissor lift and forklift operation.
  • Complete assignments timely with high-quality output while keeping a clean and organized work environment.
  • Basic understanding of how to read and understand blueprints.
  • Understand basic building codes and procedures as well as current work safety standards.
