The housekeeper is responsible for responding to guest requests in a courteous and timely manner, reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel, and maintaining accurate records of tasks completed and time worked. The housekeeper is also responsible for keeping their cart stocked with the necessary cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens. This position may also be assigned to clean other areas maintained by the housekeeping department as needed. Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position Hotel experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies This position operates under time constraints in a fast-paced environment and requires strong time management and organizational skills. It demands dedication, responsibility, honesty, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The role also involves problem-solving and customer service, and requires effective verbal communication skills in English. Physical Demands Typically clean 16 hotel rooms per day. Lift or move at least 30 lbs. Push, pull, or roll a 75 pound cart. Bend, lift, kneel, and work with hands. Stand on feet and walk for long periods of time. See dust, hair, lint, and dirt. Smell odors to identify the source to clean. Attentive to detail in cleaning and room presentation. Is this a Position of Trust?
