Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a non-profit Skilled Nursing Facility with a high nurse-to-patient ratio

The Company: Meadowbrook Village Christian Retirement Community is a non-profit organization in Escondido that opened in 2009 with the mission to "honor God by serving others with love and compassion." We are licensed as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) and offer independent, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing services. Our 19-bed skilled nursing facility opened in 2017.

Available Shifts: Part-time schedule shifts of 8 hours per day.

Job Overview: We're looking for individuals who take joy in providing excellent, personalized care for those struggling with a temporary set-back or a terminal diagnosis. Our team of CNA's, along with our LVN's and RN's, seek not only accurate medical care but also enriching personal interactions for our patients in our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). Patients and their families often comment that they love our staff's friendliness and dedication -- and we're looking for more people who share that mindset.

The CNA's will be responsible for ensuring high-quality resident care by following federal, state, and company regulations/policies, directing and documenting nursing duties, monitoring and reviewing care plans and procedures, reporting to the Director of Staff Development and Director of Nursing, and leading by positive example.

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current & valid CNA license in State of California
  • Professional experience in long-term care (preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including patience and compassion
  • Ability to effectively handle and prioritize multiple items/tasks as required
  • Ability to maintain appropriate level of confidentiality and privacy
  • Willingness and ability to respond effectively to emergency and/or crisis situation
