Summary:
The Pump Mechanic will repair/fabricate a variety of centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, and reciprocating pumps, gear reducers and related rotating equipment, troubleshoot, disassemble, inspect and repair a variety of rotating equipment including centrifugal pumps (both single and multi-stage), gear pumps, reciprocating pumps and metering pumps, gear reducers, blowers (both vacuum and pressure), mechanical seals, and many other types of equipment.

Currently seeking an ANSI Pump Mechanic to join our Deer Park, Pasadena, TX location

Responsibilities of the ANSI Pump Mechanic include, but are not limited to:

  • Receive, disassemble, inspect, repair, fabricate, paint, package/prep API centrifugal pumps as well as other related rotating equipment
  • Safely load, unload, and move equipment as needed

Qualifications of the ANSI Pump Mechanic include, but are not limited to:

  • 5 years of experience working in a pump repair facility with previous experience repairing API centrifugal pumps and other related rotating equipment
  • Experience repairing IPM pumps, creating details, and making technical decisions
  • In-depth understanding of API 610, and other applicable standards
  • Ability to read pump sectional, machine drawings, and OEM pump manuals
  • Disassembly, inspection, ability to write up a detailed rotating equipment report to all necessary repairs and or replacement parts needed, Ex: assembly prep, assembly, pneumatic pressure testing of assembled equipment, painting of finished repair and final inspection
  • Safely use hand, power, pneumatic and hydraulic tools
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydrostatic testing of parts and equipment
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical seal drawings, mechanical seal removal, installation, and pneumatic pressure testing preferred
  • Ability to work with multiple and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to achieve results with minimal supervision
  • Background check, physical, and drug test required

Additional Information:

Physical Demand: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions: Must be able to work in a shop environment without AC and heat, with possible exposure to dirt, heat, and noise.

Training/Certifications: N/A

Shift Time/Overtime: 6:00 am to 4:30 pm CDT, must be able to work OT hours as required.
