Employment Type: Full-time Contract (Project-based, with long-term career pathway)
Reports To: Project Manager
Location: Lordstown, OH
Start Date: July 15, 2026
1. Overview

PSG is a fast-growing construction and infrastructure firm specializing in mission-critical environments. We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Procurement Manager to join our team on a high-profile data center construction project in Lordstown, Ohio. This role is responsible for leading all procurement and supply chain activities, ensuring timely, cost-effective sourcing and delivery of materials, equipment, and services for large-scale data center construction.
This role will initially support a 6-month data center construction project based in Lordstown, with a strong pipeline of follow-on projects nationwide. This is not a short-term assignment — upon successful completion of the first project, you will transition directly to subsequent projects, offering long-term career stability and growth. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, balancing procurement strategy with hands-on execution to ensure smooth project delivery.
2. Duties

  • Develop and execute project procurement strategies that align with schedule, budget, quality, and client requirements across multiple construction scopes.
  • Lead the RFP/RFQ process, conduct commercial evaluations and bid leveling, and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and commercial conditions to maximize value.
  • Manage procurement and supply chain for large mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) equipment, owner-furnished items, construction materials, and subcontracted services.
  • Identify, evaluate, prequalify, and manage suppliers, fabricators, and subcontractors; build and maintain long-term sourcing relationships.
  • Prepare, review, and issue purchase orders, bid packages, and procurement agreements in alignment with company policies, legal requirements, and project needs.
  • Track and manage delivery schedules with project teams to align with project milestones; identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including vendor capacity and logistics challenges.
  • Partner with Estimating, Project Controls, Project Management, Superintendents, and field teams to support procurement planning, long-lead item tracking, and schedule-driven purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records in enterprise systems (ERP); ensure supplier compliance with safety, insurance, and contractual requirements; support reporting and audit readiness.
  • Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, supply chain constraints, and logistics considerations to proactively address potential disruptions and improve procurement outcomes.
  • Support on-site procurement activities and ensure on-time material delivery by effectively coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and project team staff.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, reporting, and supplier performance.
3. Must-Haves as the Procurement Manager

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, estimating, or construction operations.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, subcontractor procurement, contract terms, and commercial negotiations.
  • Proven experience managing procurement for large-scale construction projects, including developing procurement plans, managing RFx processes, and negotiating contracts.
  • Proficiency in ERP or digital procurement systems for purchase order management, inventory tracking, and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and proven negotiation skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours – prepared to work overtime, weekends, and shifts as required by project milestones.
4. Nice-to-Haves as the Procurement Manager

  • Previous experience working on hyperscale data center, semiconductor cleanroom, or other high-tech industrial construction projects.
  • Deep understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and associated equipment for mission-critical facilities.
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar construction ERP systems.
  • C.P.M., CPSM, or PMP certification.
  • Familiarity with prefabrication, preassembly, modularization, and offsite fabrication (PPMOF) strategies.
  • Understanding of logistics, freight, and tax implications for construction materials and equipment.
5. Benefits

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
  • Paid time off and holiday pay.
  • Opportunities for career advancement through a strong pipeline of nationwide projects – this role is a gateway to long-term employment with PSG.
  • Per diem or relocation assistance available for qualified candidates (subject to policy).
6. Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of total experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, estimating, or construction operations.
  • Proven experience developing and executing procurement strategies for medium-to-large construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and purchase order management.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Estimating, Project Management, and field operations.
7. License/Certification

  • Valid driver's license (required for site mobility and supplier visits).
  • Preferred: C.P.M. (Certified Purchasing Manager) or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) certification.
  • Preferred: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification.
  • OSHA safety certification or willingness to obtain one.
8. Ability to Relocate

  • Must be able to relocate to Lordstown, OH or currently reside within a commutable distance.
