Position Qualification
Position Summary
The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery is seeking a full-time faculty member at any academic rank to join our growing division. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, including both functional and cosmetic procedures, facial trauma, head and neck reconstruction, and general otolaryngology-head and neck surgery.
Our department is deeply committed to excellence in patient care, medical education, research, and community service.
Position Requirements
  • Degree: M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent
  • Training: Completion of an ACGME-accredited Residency in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery and Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
  • Certification: Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (or equivalent)
  • Licensure: Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Nebraska prior to start date

Clinical Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide medical and surgical care for cosmetic and reconstructive conditions of the face, including but not limited to:
  • Rhinoplasty
  • Facelift and Neck Lift
  • Brow Lift
  • Blepharoplasty
  • Otoplasty
  • Facial reconstruction following Mohs surgery

Development of programs in facial nerve reanimation and gender-affirming surgery is strongly encouraged.
Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice, program development, quality improvement, and innovation in care delivery is required.
Teaching & Academic Responsibilities
  • Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Participate in didactic and formal lecture activities
  • Contribute to the academic and research missions of the department
