LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Internal Medicine MD in Dallas, Texas, 75201!

Are you a board-certified Family Medicine physician with a passion for managed care, utilization management, and population health? This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership-focused role where your clinical expertise directly impacts care quality, access, and outcomes for a large member population.

This 13-week locum assignment begins 100% remote, with the intention to transition into a permanent hybrid leadership role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and determine prior authorizations, appeals, and medical necessity
  • Conduct peer-to-peer discussions to support utilization management
  • Provide clinical oversight for UM, disease management, quality initiatives, and pharmacy collaboration
  • Participate in medical policy development, clinical guidelines, and provider performance reviews
  • Support fraud, waste, and abuse programs
  • Lead or participate in managed care committees and process improvement initiatives
  • Represent the organization in state and local clinical activities when assigned
  • Oversee clinical workflows, goals, budgets, and staff development
Required Qualifications
  • Board Certified in Family Medicine
  • Active Texas medical license or willingness to obtain
  • Strong background in managed care & prior authorization
  • Familiarity with Texas Medicaid regulations
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
