About the Opportunity

Turner Staffing Group is seeking a Water Truck Operator to support surface operations in Nevada.

This position is ideal for individuals who prioritize safety, take pride in equipment operation, and can work effectively in dynamic site conditions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Water Truck Operator, you will:

  • Safely operate an 8,000-gallon water truck in accordance with site rules and manufacturer guidelines
  • Perform and document pre-operational inspections (fluids, tires, brakes, lights, articulation joint, etc.)
  • Maintain full control of the vehicle across varying road and weather conditions
  • Ensure safe loading, transport, and controlled discharge of water
  • Monitor tank systems, including hoses, valves, and pumps, for proper function
  • Communicate effectively using site radio and follow all traffic protocols
  • Report hazards, incidents, and mechanical issues immediately
  • Complete all required logs, reports, and documentation
Work Activities
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and post-operation checks
  • Verify system integrity (tank, valves, pump functionality)
  • Operate only on approved haul routes and maintain safe speeds
  • Maintain safe following distances and situational awareness
  • Position equipment safely for water discharge operations
  • Prevent spills, overflows, erosion, or unsafe discharge conditions
  • Follow proper parking, shutdown, and lockout procedures when required
