DESCRIPTION

Under the directionof theManager, Print Services, theSeniorLead,PrintOperatorisresponsibleforoverseeing thedaily operation of printing, copying, binding, and finishing equipment to support the instructional and administrative needs of the school district. This role ensures high-quality andtimelyproduction of printed materials whilemaintainingequipment and supplies in a safe and efficient environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Education:

  • Possession of aHigh School diploma or GED.

Experience:

  • Five years of experience in operating business reproduction and printing equipment.

  • Overseeteam of equipment operators to ensure thetimelyproduction of printed materials.Schedule and prioritize print jobs to meet deadlines andminimizeturnaroundtimes.

  • Keepaccuraterecords of jobs completed, materialsuseand time spentforreporting and billing purposes.

EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION

Compensation

This is a12-month per year position in theAmerican Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME)employee unit. Thecurrent salary rangefor this position is GradeVIIon theMaintenance/Warehousesalary scale. Step placement will bein accordance withthe salary procedures of the Howard County Public School System and theAFSCMEMaster Agreement which considers relevant prior experience. Under the Fair Labor Standards Act, this position isnot exemptfrom overtime.

Retirement

Membership in the Maryland State Retirement Agency (MSRA) pension plan is a mandatory condition of employment for all employees who meet the eligibility and membership criteria defined in the State Personnel and Pensions Article and the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR). A qualifying employee cannot reject membership, nor can an ineligible employee elect membership.The annualcontribution to the pension plan will be 7% of an employee's annual salary.
