Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will work the PM shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a rotating schedule. This role is located at an injection mold facility and involves setting up, adjusting, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment to ensure high production quality.

Pay: Flexible $30-$37.50 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities

  • Read electrical schematics to understand equipment requirements.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on electrical systems, conveyors, automation, robotics, and ancillary equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Act as an escalation point for lower-level technicians and escalate issues to leadership when necessary.
  • Record maintenance issues in a maintenance log and document work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Perform root cause analysis of major downtime events and assist in corrective actions.
  • Conduct facility and building project work, including tasks such as light bulb replacement, door repairs, and plumbing.
  • Assemble and test equipment to ensure correct operation and production.
  • Analyze and document causes of production delays and equipment malfunctions.
  • Follow safety procedures such as Lock Out/Tag Out and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes and operate material handling equipment like fork trucks.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with conveyor, automation, or robotics equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Fundamental understanding of machinery and equipment.
  • Basic skills in computer software packages, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with inputs, outputs, and PLC logic systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to frequently move, lift, and carry supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 75 lbs.
  • Willingness to work overtime and be available for on-call requests.
  • Experience in a building maintenance position servicing a facility larger than 75,000 square feet.
  • Physical ability to ascend and descend ladders and stairs, work at heights, and perform tasks with hands above head.

The Maintenance Technician will work alongside one other technician during the overnight shift, with approximately 2-4 other Process Technicians in a different department.
