Position Summary

The Supervisor, Business Solutions is responsible for managing day-to-day media planning and execution for assigned client accounts, ensuring campaigns are strategically sound, flawlessly executed, and aligned with client objectives. The Supervisor will oversee Assistants and Planners, guide their work while serving as a key liaison between the Business Solutions team, client service leads, and investment/activation teams.

This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, media planning expertise across digital and traditional channels, and the ability to translate client needs into actionable strategies.

Assignment Duration: ASAP - December 23, 2026

Key Responsibilities

Client & Team Management

  • Act as the day-to-day point of contact for client service teams and mid-level client stakeholders.
  • Supervise and mentor Assistants and Planners, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of work.
  • Partner with Directors and VPs to translate client business challenges into effective media solutions.

Media Planning & Strategy

  • Lead the development of media plans across multiple channels (digital, TV, audio, OOH, print, etc.).
  • Provide input on strategic planning documents, campaign briefs, and recommendations.
  • Ensure alignment of media planning with client KPIs, industry best practices, and agency standards.

Execution & Stewardship

  • Oversee the creation of media purchase authorizations (MPAs), insertion orders (IOs), and campaign documentation.
  • Ensure vendor proposals and client recommendations are properly evaluated, negotiated, and optimized.
  • Manage campaign pacing, billing, and reconciliation processes with support from the team.

Vendor & Marketplace Management

  • Lead vendor communications, briefings, and negotiations within designated channels.
  • Stay current on marketplace trends, innovations, and research tools to inform client strategies.
  • Identify added-value opportunities and partnerships for client campaigns.

Research & Insights

  • Oversee the use of research tools (e.g., Numeris, Vividata, Comscore, Nielsen) to build insights for plans.
  • Analyze campaign performance, prepare reports, and deliver optimization recommendations.
  • Present marketplace and performance updates to clients and internal leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Media, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in media planning, preferably within an agency environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing client deliverables and junior team members.
  • Strong knowledge of digital, offline, and integrated media planning.
  • Familiarity with industry tools (Numeris, Vividata, Comscore, Nielsen, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex media concepts to clients.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
