Looking for your first real driving job? American Driver is recruiting in the Shreveport, LA area for Entry Level CDL A drivers ready to start an OTR career with structure, support, and consistent pay.

This isn't a temp gig. It's a full-time W2 position with freight that runs year-round and a team that actually supports new drivers through the transition from school to the road.

How Training Works:

  • Paid 4–6 week program alongside an experienced mentor
  • Covers everything — inspections, ELD, HOS, real freight, real deadlines
  • Weekly pay throughout training
  • Solo transition at $0.56 CPM after completion

On the Road:

  • No-touch dry van freight
  • 60% drop and hook operations
  • Average 2,200–2,500 miles weekly
  • Predictable dispatch, minimal sitting

What You'll Earn:

  • $0.56–$0.65 CPM based on experience
  • Typical weekly take-home $1,200–$1,500
  • Stop, layover, and breakdown pay included
  • Six-month pay increase
