What You Will Do:

We are looking for a temp to hire Accounting Clerk to join our Accounting team in our Atlanta office. The Accounting Clerk will report to the Accounting Manager and play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the accounting department. This position provides administrative and accounting support across accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and month-end close activities. We're looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Clerk, your primary responsibilities in this role will be:

  • Provide administrative support to the Accounting team through accurate recordkeeping, filing, and document management.
  • Process vendor invoices, prepare payments, and maintain vendor records.
  • Receive and apply client payments while assisting with account reconciliations and collections.
  • Support project billing by preparing invoices and organizing required documentation.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and expense report processing.
  • Maintain electronic accounting files and documentation for audits and company records.
  • Respond to vendor and client inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with special projects, cross-train with team members, and provide backup support as needed.

What We Are Looking For:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • One to three years of accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with ERP or accounting software is preferred (Acumatica is a plus)
