We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacy team in delivering exceptional patient care. In this role, you will assist pharmacists in the fulfillment of prescription orders from start to finish while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and outstanding service for our patients and healthcare partners.

What You'll Do
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will:
  • Create and maintain accurate patient profiles, including demographic, insurance, and allergy information.
  • Assist with prescription processing, data entry, medication filling, shipping, inventory management, and point-of-sale transactions.
  • Answer routine patient questions regarding prescription coverage, medication costs, product availability, and pharmacy services.
  • Communicate with internal healthcare staff through electronic medical records (Athena) regarding medication refills and other non-clinical pharmacy inquiries.
QualificationsRequired
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician license for the state of Maine or the ability to obtain licensure within 90 days of hire.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
  • Previous pharmacy experience.
  • Experience in a healthcare or medical setting.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and abbreviations.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
