Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support a short-term assignment in Farmington, Maine. This is a Contract position expected to run for 2-4 weeks, with a schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday. The person in this role will help maintain accurate records and provide administrative support for accounting and assessment materials.


Responsibilities:

• Enter and update tax, assessment, and accounting information with a high degree of accuracy.

• Review source documents carefully to ensure records are complete, consistent, and properly recorded.

• Support project activities related to personal property and real estate tax processing.

• Work with spreadsheets and digital records to organize, track, and verify information.

• Learn and navigate internal software tools quickly to complete assigned data tasks efficiently.

• Assist with general clerical duties that help keep the project on schedule.

• Identify discrepancies in entered information and bring issues forward for correction.

• Previous experience performing data entry in an office or administrative setting.
• Strong keyboarding skills with the ability to enter numeric and text data accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining precise records.
• Comfort using computers and common business software, including Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt to project needs.
• Reliable attendance and availability to work a 40-hour schedule Monday through Thursday for the duration of the assignment.
• Familiarity with accounting, tax, or assessing documentation is helpful, and experience with Trio software is a plus.
