The Senior Data & Reporting Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data assets, reporting solutions, and analytical tools that support Credit Delivery, portfolio management, risk management, and operational processes across the organization. The role provides critical management reporting and analytical support for ongoing credit administration activities, including portfolio monitoring, periodic reviews, risk oversight, regulatory reporting, and compliance requirements. Leveraging a combination of reporting, business intelligence, and data engineering expertise, the position delivers accurate, timely, and actionable insights to business leaders, Credit Delivery partners, risk teams, and senior management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  1. 1. Develops and delivers ongoing regulatory, management and operational reporting in support of sound credit administration across multiple verticals in Wholesale Credit Delivery (WCD) including Annual Reviews, other periodic reviews, quarterly spreads and risk ratings, maintenance of credit files and other compliance requirements.
  2. 2. Develops and delivers ongoing reporting and analytics across multiple WCD verticals regarding portfolio performance, concentrations, profitability, and segmentation in support of various portfolio meetings.
  3. 3. Provides insight and recommendations, garnered from reporting and observations, to Portfolio Strategy and Reporting Manager regarding the performance of the WCD platform to guide strategic decisions.
  4. 4. Partner with the Wholesale Business Enablement Data Analytics team as well as Enterprise partners for WCD reporting and data analytics/visualization needs.
  5. 5. Promotes a cohesive, inclusive, team-oriented culture aligned with the Truist purpose, mission, and values.
  6. 6. Promotes sound risk management as the first line of defense by ensuring compliance with Bank policies for credit, underwriting, operational, regulatory, tax, legal procedures, and policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field, and specific knowledge/experience with supporting educational background, or equivalent education and related training
  • Five years of related experience
  • Knowledge or experience in strategic planning/projects/process management
  • Managerial/leadership experience with supporting educational background
  • Advanced knowledge of industry, market, and products
  • Advanced analytical and technical skills combined with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal style, good listening skills and the ability to communicate highly complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Strong partnering and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, data engineering, portfolio analytics, or related roles.
  • Advanced experience with Python, SQL, business intelligence, and visualization tools.
  • Experience supporting credit, portfolio management, risk, banking, or financial services functions.
  • Experience developing executive dashboards, management reporting frameworks, and automated reporting environments.
  • Knowledge of data governance, regulatory reporting, and data quality controls.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI tools, including the ability to leverage AI-enabled solutions to improve reporting, analytics, operational efficiency, and business processes.
  • Knowledge of Key Risk Indicator (KRI) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) frameworks, including metric development, governance, monitoring, trend analysis, dashboard design, and executive reporting.
  • Experience designing and maintaining performance measurement and risk reporting frameworks that support portfolio oversight, credit administration, operational effectiveness, and strategic decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into meaningful metrics and actionable insights for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill in strategic data assets warehousing and transactional application data concepts and technology.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
