Idaho Department of Insurance Opportunity

The Idaho Department of Insurance (DOI) is searching for 2 part-time temporary Customer Service Representative 1 positions for the Coeur d'Alene area. This position reports to the Senior Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) Program team.
The length of service for this position is approximately eleven weeks. This temporary position will start in September and end in mid-December (holidays off). There is flexibility with the schedule as it will be dependent upon the hired individual's availability and may be up to 20 hours per week.
This posting will remain open until filled. The posting will be taken down once all positions available have been filled.
SHIBA OVERVIEW:
Would you like to make a difference in the lives of Medicare-eligible Idahoans? Are you passionate about helping others? Are you interested in earning some extra income for the upcoming holidays? If so, this temporary role may be for you!
SHIBA provides free, unbiased assistance to Idahoans regarding Medicare benefits. Through the Medicare open enrollment period, you will be a valuable part of the DOI Team. This position will set up counseling appointments using MS Outlook, provide customer assistance over the phone, work in a proprietary computer program, and perform a variety of office support functions for SHIBA.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
  • Answer Calls
  • Open SHIBA location and attend to customers in person
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Perform keyboard functions
  • Operate telephone and corresponding software
  • Complete position related training materials
  • Read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently
  • Maintain files
  • Provide customer service in a business setting
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
  • This temporary position is non-benefited
  • This temporary position is non-classified and exempt from the classified service rules of the Idaho Personnel Commission
  • The selected candidate will be required to successfully pass a fingerprint background check
