Job Description:
  • As a Lead Tandem Developer, you'll play a key leadership role in designing and delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance applications and drive significant business impact.
  • You'll collaborate within an agile environment to enhance how the firm collects, stores, and analyzes information-powering data-driven insights and ensuring reliability across mission-critical systems.
  • Your work will directly support the firm's business goals through robust data engineering and architecture practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing HP Nonstop Tandem systems in a hands-on technical lead role
  • Regularly provide technical guidance and direction to support the business and the technical teams
  • Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug the code written by others
  • Drive the collection, clarification, and documentation of business and data flow requirements, aligning technical design with stakeholder objectives.
  • Provide strategic and technical direction by staying current with emerging tools, industry standards, and innovative practices in data engineering.
  • Architect and oversee the design and implementation of technical solutions, ensuring smooth interoperability with existing platforms and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Mentor and coach Team members, fostering growth in analytical thinking, documentation quality, and overall technical excellence.

Required Skills
  • Formal training or certification on HP Nonstop Tandem engineering concepts with 5+ years of practical experience.
  • Hands-on Tandem systems development using tools and languages including TAL, TACL, Tandem COBOL, Tandem C++, Enscribe, SQL/MX, SQL/MP, Enform, Tandem Pathway, Tandem Messaging System, FUP, BATCHCOM, tokenization and encryption.
  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Ability to work in large collaborative teams towards organizational goals
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging modern software tools, platforms, and technologies to create innovative solutions.
  • Experienced in leading projects through organizational change and ambiguity, effectively managing dependencies and cross-functional collaboration.
