We are looking for a COBOL / IDMS Developer to support our client based in Miami, FL.
US BASED CANDIDATES ONLY.
This is a remote position requiring occasional onsite visits in Downtown and South Miami.

The Opportunity
TECKpert is supporting one of our clients, a government agency in South Florida, in identifying a highly experienced Senior Systems Analyst Programmer to support mission-critical legacy systems. This role focuses on mainframe application development, systems analysis, and production support within an enterprise z/OS environment. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in IDMS, COBOL, JCL, and mainframe utilities, combined with strong analytical and communication skills.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform systems analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance of mainframe applications.
  • Develop and support batch and online applications using IDMS and COBOL in a z/OS environment.
  • Maintain and enhance IDMS database structures, screen mappings, and application logic.
  • Create and manage JCL for batch processing and job scheduling.

A successful candidate has the following experience:
