Position Title: Seasonal Inkjet Technician

Reports to: Production Manager

Department: Operations

Classification: Seasonal, Hourly (Non-Exempt)

Pay: $20.75 - $21.50 per hour. Effective July 1st pay will be $21.50 - $22.25 per hour.

The Seasonal Inkjet Technician supports efficient production operations by ensuring accurate product identification and contributing to overall coding reliability within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Seasonal Inkjet Technician should have strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt quickly while working both independently and collaboratively. This role will be expected to work at least 6 days a week during our Fresh-pack Season from mid-July to late September. Our Cannery runs 24/7 so flexibility to work any shift (Days, Swing or Graveyard) is required.

This position will be primarily responsible for:

  • Ensuring all products are properly labeled with accurate top code identification stamp.
  • Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting inkjet printers to ensure continuous production.
  • Entering and updating product codes in the system during product changeovers.
  • Maintaining accurate records to ensure traceability of any product that is not properly coded.
  • Replacing or adjusting printers as needed and coordinating with external technical support to resolve equipment issues.
  • Communicating equipment or production issues to supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Performing other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently follow established procedures.
  • Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Basic computer/data entry skills with the ability to accurately input and track information.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity:   25% or less sitting, 50% or more walking, and 50% or more standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a cannery environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift up to 45 lbs. is required.
