What We Need:
Assists in the manufacturing of laminate flooring by training to operate various automated industrial machinery components on Press production lines to meet the required quality specifications.
What You'll Do:
  • Comply with all company safety policies, rules, and procedures.
  • Monitor products and processes to ensure compliance with documented quality standards and take corrective action to minimize nonconforming products.
  • Monitor and adjust machine parameters as needed to maintain proper product alignment, including embossed-in-register (EIR) requirements and core-to-décor alignment.
  • Perform routine quality inspections, tests, and measurements using approved procedures, gauges, and testing equipment.
  • Monitor Press line performance to ensure efficiency and utilization targets are achieved or exceeded.
  • Identify issues affecting line performance and escalate concerns as appropriate.
  • Support maintenance activities to ensure timely resolution of equipment issues and minimize downtime.
  • Understand equipment operation and product setup requirements to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Coordinate and execute production activities in accordance with the published production schedule.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Press line stoppages to maximize equipment uptime and productivity.
  • Perform required preventive maintenance (PM) activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas in accordance with housekeeping standards.
  • Attend all job-related training as required by the supervisor.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

What You Have:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience in a fast-paced work environment
  • 1+ years of experience with automated machines preferred

What You're Good At:
  • Proficient computer literacy necessary to naviagate operation of digital equipment and order management systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently through use of problem-solving skills and critical thinking
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team setting, including communication with various other Departments via radio, phone, and in-person conversations

What Else?
  • This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be fluctuating temperatures, and additional department-specific variables. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required, and may include hearing protection, safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, and eye protection.
  • Other working conditions may include working 12 hour shifts and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.; walking, bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required.
