Multi-Machine Operator Role Overview

The purpose of the Warehouse Automation - Multi Machine Operator employee is to control and interface with multiple machines and/or systems, to keep them at peak operational levels in an automated environment, and to support continuous material movement through PBV's automated warehouse systems in support of both internal and external customers.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Works with multiple machine and system interfaces and operations.
  • Operator Level Machine/System fault identification, troubleshooting, issue correction, cleaning and maintenance.
  • Uses material handling equipment to move product and materials to and from designated locations or manual, machine and automated case pick operations in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Maintains a safe and organized work area.
  • Ensures accuracy and quality of work.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Six months of forklift operation experience preferred.
  • Must be able to safely operate PBV Material Handling Equipment.
  • 1 year of Automation/Production Machine operation experience outside of PBV Warehouse Automation or a minimum of 3 months within PBV (training not included).
  • Must have skillset of Computer/Human Machine Interface.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have good math, writing, and reading skills.
  • Must be able to successfully complete the forklift assessment.
  • Must have good mechanical skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
